Café del Mundo’s fifth studio album “Famous Tracks” expresses the band’s colourful diversity; which is no surprise considering this album was produced at the “Love & Peace Studio” in Abbey Road, London, just like in the 1960s.

In spring 2019, Germany’s hottest guitarists, Jan Pascal and Alexander Kilian (known as Café del Mundo) played their first UK club tour and immediately touched the hearts of British music lovers. They performed in Sheffield, birth place of many famous pop and rock legends, Leeds, as well as Bristol and Cambridge and the legendary Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, London.

On day eight of their tour, filled with excitement, Jan Pascal and Alexander Kilian sat in front of the microphones at Abbey Road Studios, a magic place which hides the aura of great artists, including Yehudi Menuhin and The Beatles, in every brick of its walls. What emerged is a recording of famous great artists such as Manuel DeFalla, Chick Corea, Enrique Granadas, Al Di Meola and Paco de Lucia – a recording with the power of a live concert, with a world class sound boasting modern technical possibilities (High Resolution, 96khz).

As a matter of course, Café del Mundo merge their love for these musical monuments with own sounds and compositions. Two virtuoso individuals on their greatest journey to date.

“Famous places attract us in a magic way”, says Jan Pascal of Café del Mundo. “They are enfolded in an aura of mystique and denotation. Enter and you’re being transformed.”

“Music does this to us, too”, says Alexander Kilian of Café del Mundo. “The presence of great art and music causes us to capture the essence. Producing and finalising this album at the legendary Abbey Road Studios was more than magic.”

“Café del Mundo surprise us over and over again with new exciting ideas. This time, following a UK-tour and spontaneous recordings at the studio many musicians dream of, they came up with yet another great highlight”, says Michèle Claveau of GLM Music, Munich.
